Welsh Adoption Information and Intermediary Services Guidance Amended - 18/12/14
The Welsh Government has removed the reference to 'non-identifying' information from the Adoption Information and Intermediary Services (Pre-Commencement Adoptions) (Wales) Regulations 2005 Guidance.
The amendment, which came into force on 11 December 2014, has been made in line with the Welsh Government's policy intention towards greater openness about adoption. It is intended to clarify the information which adoption agencies may disclose to people who have been adopted and also remove the anomaly which existed with the 1983 regulations.

Further details are provided in the letter sent by the Welsh Government to local authorities and voluntary adoption agencies to inform them of the amendment.
