Adoption Search Reunion website proving popular - 6/11/06
Since its official launch in May 2006 the Adoption Search Reunion website has become a valuable resource for people affected by adoption.

The website now receives over 1200 hits every day and is helping adopted people, adoptive parents and birth relatives to access information about their rights, to find out where they can get help and support, and to locate the holders of their adoption records.

The website is also helping practitioners to understand the new legislation and provide help to the people they work with. Here are some of the comments we've received from satisfied users:

  • "Extremely comprehensive and thorough website."
  • "It's excellent. Great to have so much information all in one place. And so user friendly. For those who do not use the internet, it’s also easy to print off the information/guidance that adopted people or birth relatives need."
  • "Very helpful, clear and easy for practitioners to get their head round - well done on your hard work. I will now be sharing this with my team."
